On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing 12 crops of fruit. Its fruit was ripe every month. The leaves of the tree bring healing to the nations. – Revelation 22:2

House of healing ministries was first born in the plan of God and entrusted to young men and women of God to change the landscape of the place they were planted into. As the church celebrates its five year anniversary, we celebrate not only the passing of time but also God’s abundant grace that has kept this tree planted firmly in Christ our Savior. It was the grace of God that provided enough resources so that we could be triumphant in our journey each week for the past five years.

It was the grace of God that helped elevate our faith as He faithfully kept each promise and miraculously lead us to breakthroughs and encounters. It was by the grace of God that we have been nourished as the body of Christ with the unyielding, uncompromised truth of the word of God and by the ever-present guidance of the Holy Spirit.

And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ- Ephesians 4:11,12.

The church recognizes that we have been built up for a function. As it is said in Ephesians 4:15, we have been brought up together so that we may speak the truth in love. When John the Baptist saw Jesus, He shouted to the world, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.” Just like John, we who have seen Him can now shout this truth to our city, our land, our nation and the people around us. This is the truth that sets them free. By the very lives, we live we can let the world see him again.

The plan of redemption was laid by God such that we may meet God the Father through Christ. Today that plan continues through us so that the world may behold Christ through the Christian.

As we remember God’s love, grace and faithfulness towards House of healing ministries let us also remember the purpose for which we have been planted here. Let those of us who come into the church also step out of the church much like the leaves of the tree that brings healing to the nations!
